‘Vampire Diaries’ exec on ‘Powerful, Surprising’ Season 4 twist
HEAVY SPOILER HERE!!! Do not read this if you want to stay spoiler free!!
The Vampire Diaries exec Julie Plec has hinted at another death in the fourth-season premiere.
The CW drama’s third-season finale saw Elena (Nina Dobrev) die, leading to her transformation into a vampire.
Plec told Entertainment Weekly that the show’s season four opener – due to air on October 11 in the US – will feature a “powerful, surprising death sequence”.
“When Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) told the council that the town was filled with vampires, [he] told a lot of details about a lot of people that in the first episode back we’ll see have created a little bit of a domino effect,” she hinted.
Meanwhile, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) – who escaped his own apparent death by possessing Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) – will return to his own body in the near future, Plec teased.
“[Klaus] definitely has an agenda that he wants to service which we’ll start to get a hint at about three episodes, four episodes in,” she explained.
